Farmer’s Stew

Rustik Bondgryta med Fläskbacon

1 large onion
5 small potatoes
150 g bacon cubes
1/4 cabbage
1 carrot
5 tbsp tomato paste
100 g canned beans

+ bay leaf, dill, fish sauce, salt & pepper


Chop the onion and fry on high heat. Cut the potatoes in bite size pieces, add them to the pan and fry for 5 min. Add the bacon and continue frying while stirring occasionally. Pour everything into a medium sized pot, add the remaining ingredients except for the beans and cook on low heat until the vegetables are cooked through. Add the beans and wait for another 5 min. Garnish with a spring of dill.


Make sure to add enough salt. Add a little salt with each ingredient – whatever is in your pot should taste good at all times!
